Bad Idea MeMe - whatever that means…

May 6, 2008 by Michelle Gartner

Used Underwear BusinessApparently I got on Dan’s nerves again or he would just leave me alone. Instead he decided that I would like to play along with him and do the “Bad Idea MeMe.” What is a meme anyway?

Anyway the Bad Idea MeMe goes like this- you take something that is a good idea and then make it into a situation where it is in fact a bad idea. {Then, optionally, you can identify a potential good use for the bad idea.} HUH? That’s the optional part direct from Dan’s blog. So basically you flip- flap a floppah this puppy all over the place until you can’t figure out what the heck you were blogging about in the first place.

Are we clear on the Bad Idea MeMe- now?

So Here Goes- Cutting back in a recession is a good thing.

Bad Idea for Cutting Back on Expenditures in a Recession:

Buying used Draws from The Salvation Army.

Then again, it may help you when you are starting your used panty selling website.

Which by the way- Dan’s blog ranks high in GOOGLE search for this niche business. I myself suggest eBay for the old draws business- business is booming there even in a recession, because you know.

You got to have your priorities and used drawers come before gas and groceries.

So I am going to tag

Jenny

Mr. Baconpants

JD

and for the record those aren’t really my draws up there- those are from Morgue File- which is a pretty useful picture repository for bloggers.

I guess you could always go commando too.

Composting your kitchen waste is a good thing.

It’s a bad thing when the composted waste people don’t collect the bins because of the bank holiday.

To make that into a good thing, you could give your compost to someone who had a compost heap for their own garden and could put the waste immediately to good use. (This obviously also has a bad side, namely the transferring of smelly waste between two locations).

I know, I know… I should have posted it in my blog and tagged someone else… but I’m rushing a bit and trying to edit another post (the one about my humiliating misunderstanding!) Anyway, I like playing with the conventions of memes!

This is making my head hurt… I will have to think about this… Maybe I could think of something good after I get some bacon.

I wish I could sell my used underwear but I stopped wearing them several years ago (socks too) - what a waste of money they are. I feel free, especially while wearing shorts…haha!

I’d say we are far worse than a recession, we are in a depression. I don’t even have enough money to cut back!

I think we are heading into a depression myself- and no one wants to talk about it. So we can skirt around it by calling it a recession and handing out stimulus checks. Thanks for dropping by Bobby.

This sounds hard! But I will try my best. OK. So, it’s something about Mimi’s underwear?
