Free Retro (that means vintage) Postcards if You Help this Guy Get to Oxford

Yesterday- I was over at 3 Bucks for Brendan which in case you are not familiar with: it’s basically a website run by a Mr. Brendan Baker, who is soliciting donations so he can study Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford. Which sounds like a really cool course of study- I think he is already working that system (if you know what I mean). I think Brendan is for real and it sounds like a good enough cause, so he gets a plug on OOAKWI.

However, if helping a guy get up enough funds for Oxford is not incentive enough- if you act quickly (next 50 donors) his lovely Mother will send you a “thank you” note on a retro postcard for your donation. Of course, you know that did it for me and I immediately parted with $3 Canadian via Paypal.

Personally- I love cyber-begging! It’s so much more cleaner and nicer then dealing with real hobos and drunks. I am actually trying to get up enough nerve to put my begging site up.

The “help a woman with five kids out who doesn’t want to use her college degree for a real job,” is the tentative name, if I can register the domain. There I’ll post pictures of my kids when they are really dirty and perhaps unwell. In exchange for donations – I will be your email friend or even your chat buddy depending on how big the donation. Email me for details and my Paypal donation address.

Anyway- back to Brendan, help the guy out and get a vintage postcard! Or just do it because you’re a nice person. Me- I have to get something in return, like a cool vintage postcard. It better not be lame or this post goes down- buddy!

BTW- if he doesn’t get enough to go to Oxford; Brendan says he’s turning the money over to two charities Engineers Without Borders and Medecins Sans Frontieres. Good luck with your fund raising Brendan!

    Michelle,

Thanks for coming and checking out my site! I love all crafts, and have several websites, but, I really love vintage stuff!

I am glad that you enjoyed the post! By the way, you have a really great site, and I love your style!

LOL. I’d donate to the “help a woman with five kids out who doesn’t want to use her college degree for a real job” fund but I’m too busy drumming up donations for the same thing, but with only two kids.

Hey, does that mean I should only cyber-beg half as hard?

@ VK- thanks for dropping by, don’t ask me you are way better at making $$$ online then I am. You are like a blog guru- whereas I am a one- legged grasshopper.

@Anissa- I wish I had more time for scrapping, at one time I thought I would start a digital scrapbook venture, but there are so many way more talented people then I out there. I think that market would be hard to break into.
