Two Vintage Turkey Recipes For You – Buttery Roast Bird or Three Stooges Stuffing

I really hate being in the kitchen- despite being told I am a decent cook. As of writing this post I haven’t even done my grocery shopping for Thanksgiving- even though I have to feed seven people. Cooking to me is like drudge work- although I love the finished product and eating great food. As you might imagine Thanksgiving is not my favorite Holiday with all the food preparation… and really I can do without touching a turkey. I pretty much live for spiral cut ham, but I know some of you can’t wait to shove your hands up the icy cold butt of a dead bird to rip out it’s neck and gizzards. Some of you really nasty people will even be making gravy out of these stewed pieces of dead bird meat. To help my vintage readers cook their turkeys properly, I have two videos that should help you make sense of proper turkey preparation.

First of all we have the Three Stooges showing the proper stuffing technique. However- if stuffed turkey is not your thing and you prefer a buttery bird, make sure to watch the last video from 1959 to properly roast a turkey to buttery perfection. Warning if you take Lipitor or other cholesterol reducing drugs consult your doctor before using the last recipe.

I am just like you – am told I cook well but I just would rather skip the whole thing. And as for getting my hands on a turkey, oh no thank you! My DH deals with that at Christmas…

    Have a great Thanksgiving!

HI Michelle, great stuff you have here. I just wanted to let you know that I haven’t seen your comment on my blog until now in a case you were maybe thinking something else. As you know I am having the problems often with my comments and that’s the price of not being skilled in building the web pages.
    Cheers!

Hi Lidian – Thanks for the well wishes for Thanksgiving- I love both your blogs!

JC- knowing html – is over rated, it keeps my husband up at night. I enjoy your blog immensely even when we don’t agree.

Speedy- somehow it makes sense that you like the 3 stooges.

Hi Elvin- thanks for dropping by again- I love new faces, sorry about your cholestorol- I’ll put out a bowl of Cheerios for you. That should drop it down again.

While still alive, I feed my turkeys an all butter diet its entire life. I then marinate my dead turkey in a vat of butter flavored lard. I stuff it with 10 sticks of butter and then follow the instructions in that video.

Bobby- don’t forget the syringe full of steroids! You want a turkey with at least 5 buttery breasts… I like my turkey to be at least an E cup.

And my horror stories gross you out? Hahahahah!!! That is sick Michelle
