I wasn’t born in the sixties, but I wish I was so that I could have grown up with Liddle Kiddles. Actually I am fine with being a product of the seventies, it’s just that I would love to play with a doll that is jewelry as well. You know I am passionate about vintage jewelry and what could be better then a teeny tiny doll that you wear in a locket pendant? No more lost dollies, because you are wearing them! Even more convenience then those portable doll houses. Not sure if you want to wear your toys take a look at these vintage ads for Liddle Kiddles
Here we have an advertisement from 1967 showing Mattel Lucky Locket Kiddles.
Liddle Kiddles are versatile to wear. Not only can you wear one, you can wear a bazillion at a time like this little fashionista is. You just hook them to each other to have one huge pendant that swings to your knees. Liddle Kiddles clip to anything too. Clip a couple to your hairband and go!
Here’s another advertisement from 1967 for the Mattel’s Million Dollar Christmas Sweepstakes! One of the prizes shown is a variety of Liddle Kiddles. In this picture a girl is playing with Lucky Locket Kiddles, Liddle Kiddles and their home the Little Kiddle Klub. There are even new Storybook Kiddles which are Liddle Kiddles that come with a story book and dressed as favorite characters from fairy tales; such as Liddle Red Riding Hood. She comes with a scary liddle wolf! Watch out Granny!
Still not convinced this is the ultimate girly doll toy, here’s a commercial for Kiddle Cologne.

I would TOTALLY play with Liddle Kiddles NOW (at age 34 and in this generation!) and LOVE IT! ahahahah
I thought it said kittens.
Hi Meleah- it is a cool toy…
Dan- if there were trucks or robots in the lockets you would be wearing them too!
I think I had a robot watch once.
I don’t remember this, but as little fro babies living in the woods we really didn’t put too much in our hair like that. LOL
Can they hold secret information for spies?
I know a woman down the street that has Liddle Kiddles, and she is always looking at me funny like … you know, like she is planning a covert attack on me.
Hi Deborah- I saw pictures of you when you were little you were cute- I was just awkward looking. No amount of dolls stuck to my headband was going to fix it.
Eric- the Chinese are behind Liddle KIddles or the Russians I can;t remember which… they were top toys for some time until Ronald Regan declared them public enemy number one. Or maybe it was Carter and the backlash from the Bay of Kiddles incident was so much that he wasn’t reelected.
HECK ya those hold classified spy information – James Bond has a couple in his arsenal of weapons… KIDDLE GALORE and OCTOKIDDLES to name just a few. Some blow up so watch your neighbor- she might try to put your eye out with a blow up doll. Heh heh.
FYI, since I keep coming up blank for ideas, I might have to do some more vintage posts.
Wow. I remember these but I was just born when they came out so they must have made them for a number of years after, unless it was a repro they made later that I’m thinking of. I just remember thinking they were cute and funny because they had such large heads and such tiny bodies.
Dan- FYI I might have to break your blogs legs…
Teeni- I think there have been other versions of these. I saw something recently in the 2008 Wal Mart Christmas Toy Catalog (my children save these) that looked just like Liddle Kiddles. I am sure there have been other companies doing something like them.
Big heads are good- that’s why people love bobble heads of celebrities and sports figures.
Well, this week is Tweet Week.
Don’t know about next week. Maybe it will be Retro Week.
I totally remember these. They were my favorite! I wish I still had mine. Lorna was my most beautiful one!
Hey! I had a Liddle Kiddle!!! I even recently found a photo of me one Christmas wearing it around my neck. I loved that little dolly.
I still have mine. Just pulled them out and they are in great condition. Also have Lil Lollipops in a carry case with extra outfits.
