Cameo

cameo one of a kind wisconsin Well I am touched- some of you  noticed that I have not been around as much… at least not on ye old blog and Twitter.

Some of you may know that I have five children and generally lots of help from my other half. Recently, my husband has been really busy with his business and so I have been “stuck” with the children. I use the term stuck loosely, because I enjoy being with them and it really isn’t much work…

The problem is not that they are a huge amount of work, it is just the added interruptions. Diaper changes, six or seven in between meal snacks, fight arbitration, and more- all for the Lone Parent. Anyway- when it gets like that the Lone Parent just does the bare minimal necessities. That means feeding everyone and making sure they are roughly presentable to the world.

Two shabby but somewhat presentable little boys.

As far as my business on ETSY goes, I just have been barely keeping up with listing new items daily (except on Sundays), shipping orders out, and the accounting. The rest of it goes out the window in times like these.

So that is my one bit of advice if you are a stay at home parent and business owner. Stick to the necessities… that’s pretty much all there is to it.

You are probably wondering by now- what’s with all the pictures of cameos? These are all cameos I listed for sale in my ETSY store last week. Most of them have sold already, but I thought you might want to take a look at some of the prettier ones.

A special thank you to Rachael of Capricorn One Vintage who gave me a Sunshine Award last week. She also writes:

As you all know I haven’t been around as much as I’d like to be lately, so this is a really cool suprise. I feel so blessed and not forgotten! :)

Wow- she took the words right out of my mouth- I feel exactly the same way. Thanks all for sticking around, even when I am hardly around online- I really appreciate it.

PS – this last beautiful cameo set in sterling is not for sale. My husband gave it to me for our upcoming 15ths anniversary.

I’m full of admiration for all you parents: I don’t know how you do it! I’m impressed that you manage to fit in blogging at all!

I agree. I can scarcely find time to blog these days, and there’s only me. I can’t imagine the time I won’t have if and when I have kids. I might have to delegate blogging duties to them :)

What exquisite Cameo’s Michelle. I had a collection of Cameo’s I passed onto my niece for her 16th birthday. She is now in her twenties and just adores them. Of course, that last one is, I’m sure, your most treasured. Happy Anniversary!!!

P.S. I too am having the hardest time keeping up in the blog world AND, I no longer have children at home. I think people understand. I know I do:) Take a breathe, have a cup of tea and enjoy…
