I've never dared to ask you
But maybe you can guess
That if you'd say you loved me,
T'would bring me happiness.

When you find this heart from me,
I hope you'll very happy be,
And if you are, t'will mean
that you
Will be my Valentine so true.

The back of the top Valentine is dated in pencil 1926.

All four of these vintage Valentine's Day Greeting Cards are cute.

But the necking ostriches on the inside of the bottom card are especially sweet.

I love this 2 part charm to share with a long distance friend.

Or maybe a long distance lover- there are two hearts with a single arrow through this charm.

Vintage Puffy Hearts for Valentine's Day

The retail stores around me already have shelves full of chocolate for Valentine's Day, but who really wants cheap boxes of heart shaped chocolate when you can have hearts like these? The great thing about a sterling puffy heart as a memento of love, is it won't wind up on your hips after Valentine's Day. So if saving calories was part of your New Year's resolutions, give him a hint that you want jewelry instead of candy.
